Services we offer
Pond Design
Pond Design starts with site assessment with an emphasize in test hole digging to determine watershed capabilities. Pond hydrology includes three basic types of ponds : watershed, excavated and levee. Most ponds are constructed by excavation which will be filled by groundwater inflow where the water table is near the land surface. There are other water resources such as overland flows, well water , ground seepage and internal natural spring water activity. Ponds and Beyond provide those services as wells pond clean-outs.
Water Quality
Water quality testing begins with satellite imaging than a site -visit to monitor and extract water samples. Specifically , the water is tested for pH, dissolved oxygen levels, conductivity, alkalinity, hardness and turbidity. Parameter testing such as algae issues, pipe integrity, fish habitat , invasive vegetation and identification of aquatic submerged and emergent plant life . Bathymetric surveying of water depths and accumulated sludge matter is conducted during the site -visit.
Solar Aeration
Custom design and built solar aeration diffuser systems are powered by the sun. The system is backed up with battery banks for 24 hour per day operation. These aeration systems provide superior water circulation and de-stratification of water bodies. Perfect for installation in ponds and lakes, located in remote areas with no power source.
Aeration
Effective aeration provides a healthy aquatic ecosystem by transferring oxygen and de-stratfies columns of water in the pond. Some of the benefits to aeration can increase dissolved oxygen levels, stabilizes thermal stratification and eliminate oxygen related fish kills. Aeration may reduce foul odors, control algae blooms and break down accumulated sludge matter. It can reduce mosquito and aquatic midge infestations. There are three basic ways of enhancing oxygen transfer into water: display aeration systems which displays a wide variety of spray patterns to create beautiful waterscapes while improving water quality. Another form of aeration can be a high performance low profile surface aerator. It's an agitator which produces a high GPM pumping rates for oxygen transfer capabilities. The third method of naturally aerating a pond would be a bottom lake bed diffuser system . Theses systems are shoreline compressor transferring oxygen to bottom diffuser pads that are located on the bottom of pond surface. This system provides ponds aeration for a wide variety of water bodies. Multiple solutions address circulation, aeration and water quality
Annual Management Programs
Annual Management Programs - to determine an annual treatment program one needs to understand the issues regarding your pond. After testing water analysis and parameter reviews, than objects will be determined . A strategy includes baseline budget programs, short and long term goals to naturally manage your pond or lake. Annual treatments could include : water clarity, filamentous and planktonic algae control, benthic algae, floating aquatic and submerged aquatic weeds and other invasive plants.
Lake and Pond Management
Once Ponds and Beyond has collected the necessary data and your objectives for your pond are agreed upon. Then Ponds and Beyond will manage a program to best fit your needs. - This can be our conclusion ! need to add to the annual management program - Fish habitat availability ,stocking strategies, supplemental feedings and aeration
Natural Swimming Pools
A natural swimming pool is a chemical-free pool that uses the same principles as nature to filter out harmful microorganisms. This is how the system works: The pool has two distinct parts: the swimming area and a regeneration zone that features all types of plants that feed hydroponically on the water.
